New Jersey Assemblyman calls for federal probe of Delaware River ...
The legislators sent their request in a letter to New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman and Pennsylvania Eastern District U.S. Attorney Zane David Memeger.
The DRPA has been a target of Gov. Chris Christie and DiCicco over its decisions, and budget allotments with the latest being the agency‘s decision last week docked its Public Safety Director Michael Joyce, a Camden County attorney, three day's pay – about $2,500 – for giving his daughter an E-ZPass transponder for 100 free trips across any of the toll bridges and requiring him to reimburse $600.
The agency has also been the subject of media reports alleging cronyism and pension padding.
"The public is entitled to know whether this (the Joyce) episode warrants criminal charges and if the authority is engaged in any other practice that law enforcement should be concerned with,'' DiCicco and Vereb wrote. "Separate media reports have suggested instances of cronyism and pension padding. All matters should be fully investigated.
"This $300-million-a-year bi-state agency is funded by the $4 tolls of hard-working New Jersey and Pennsylvania families who cross the Delaware River for work and recreation. They deserve assurance that their toll money is not abused by supposed public servants.''
The legislators also sent the letter to Christie, state Attorney General Paula Dow and Pennsylvania's Gov. Ed Rendell and Attorney General Tom Corbett.

Jun 18, 2009 by Cindy L | Posted in New York City
I want to go to six flags hurricane harbor with a bunch of friends in a few days. I was just wondering when and how we can get the tickets.
Is it possible to get them the morning we leave? (Saturday at 9am)
Or do we have to go in advance to buy the tickets.
What times are the port authority open to sell tickets?
Thanks a lot.
