Hey guys, im doing a project at university about advertising, instead of leaflets and flyers has anybody came across something a little different that advertises a business or service. For example i was walking in town the other week when this lady was giving free paper bags away, inside was a lemon and a lime with i sticker one saying a could get a free vodka drink at this club, other examples include stickers on pound coins e.t.c

Carlsberg did a campaign lately in london that certainly got people talking!
They scattered £10 notes round london bearing the sticker:
“Carlsberg don’t do litter. But if they did it would probably be the best litter in the world.”
It was very clever, as they only scattered £5000 worth of notes, which is a tiny amount in advertising when you consider a 30 second advert slot on the tv can cost more than £100,000, and it got everyones attention and was widely discussed all round the internet.
So they spent a tiny figure, but got a huge amount of exposure, as it was something different and unique, and the most important thing was people told each other about it (same as i`m telling you!), and that as they say is priceless!

People dressed in costumes are always an attention-getter on the street. Once I saw a "fake protest" in front of a business, which was another attention-getter.

What do people like when it comes to PRIDE promotional items? Something useful, unique, or disposable?

PRIDE is in June and the theme this year is "Cruising with Pride". If people can answer either with something I can throw out to the crowd during the parade or at our booth at the festival it would help.
Our logo includes a pink triangle so it is suggestive as gay, so I don't know what product to put it on.
Do most people like useful items like pencils, paper, keychains, tip cards, chip clips and stress balls? Fun items like bags, frizbees, plastic cups, and beach balls? Or practical items?
Yes, I am leaning towards giving something useful at the festival and maybe throwing candy during the parade as well.
T-shirts aren't in my budget as of now. Plus, this group is for LGBT peple in their 20's so I have to take in the fact that not all of them are OUT. So I need a product that is useful and hidable.
Condoms, to promote safe sex.

Kerry, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, handed the unopened letter to the US Consulate in Jerusalem. Kerry told Fox News that he never read the letter because it was sandwiched among other promotional papers the UN had given him.
