Food is already given out as free tastes so food does not count as promotional item and plastic bags too.

I'd still keep it food related - Like a pasta measuring stick (those plastic things with the different sized holes by number of servings), a sauce brush, a plastic scraper for pans etc. with your logo on them.

What do people like when it comes to PRIDE promotional items? Something useful, unique, or disposable?

PRIDE is in June and the theme this year is "Cruising with Pride". If people can answer either with something I can throw out to the crowd during the parade or at our booth at the festival it would help.
Our logo includes a pink triangle so it is suggestive as gay, so I don't know what product to put it on.
Do most people like useful items like pencils, paper, keychains, tip cards, chip clips and stress balls? Fun items like bags, frizbees, plastic cups, and beach balls? Or practical items?
Yes, I am leaning towards giving something useful at the festival and maybe throwing candy during the parade as well.
T-shirts aren't in my budget as of now. Plus, this group is for LGBT peple in their 20's so I have to take in the fact that not all of them are OUT. So I need a product that is useful and hidable.

I am the owner of a totally free website that shows you how to make money online. I am planning on attending a few upcoming tradeshows and events in the area, and I am working on putting together a little promotional goodie bag to hand out to potential customers. Walmart is pretty good about supporting local businesses. If you speak to the store manager he or she may be inclined to donate a computer related items from their electronics department. You could then put a raffle ticket in each goody bag that one lucky person would win. Good luck with your business!
and just in case the club runs out of plastic bags it is smart to pack a few plastic bags for any valuables you wish to protect from the wet.
