“To indulge the invitees, the bride wanted to give her wedding invitations with a box of chocolate. The box was designed in an elegant way with a cover & a pull out drawer. At the back of the cover, a space was left for the names of the invitees. A custom wax seal (it carried the Arabic monogram for the bride’s & groom’s name) was attached to the wrapped ribbon around the cover; this is to add a sense of the Victorian era which was the theme of wedding.”

Can I send a present inside a gift box to the post office?
Dec 06, 2009 by babii_gurl | Posted in Other - Local Businesses
In a few weeks I'm going to send my bf, who lives in texas, a gift and well i have some questions. I am planning to put his present into a gift box. Can I do that? Will someone from the post office ask me to open it? How long will it take to receive from California to Texas? Some one please answer asap!
You can send your gift in a gift box, but it may not look like a gift box when your bf receives it. Purchase a solid cardboard box at the Post office or a UPS store, place your gift box inside, making sure it cannot move (fill empty areas with crumpled newspaper) and send it this way. Your gift box will show the effort you put into it when your bf removes it from the protective shipping box.
As for price, the Post Office will suggest several options of delivery. The fastest is going to be the most expensive. They will also ask you if you want to insure your shipment against loss or damage, and if you want a proof of delivery. Each option has its price. It will be up to you to choose.
Good luck

how to arrange flowers in a gift box?
Oct 07, 2007 by koolz | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
i wish to buy fresh flowers and arrange them into a gift box ( with cover ). what are the materials needed?
do i use floral foam as the base?
anywhere i can find a guide on this?
Will the flowers be standing upright or lying down?
If you want to arrange them in an upright position, you will need floral foam and you may want to buy some floral wire, especially if you have flowers that tend to droop like gerbera daisies or tulips. The floral foam should be soaked in water and placed in a water proof base.
If you want to lie the flowers down around something, you can buy special test tubes with caps for each flower. These are then filled with water. Your best bet? Go to any flower shop and throw yourself on their mercy. They'll have everything you need to make your gift box memorable.
The supplies you need aren't expensive and can even be purchased at craft stores. Just be sure you get the right kind of foam for fresh flowers. Don't confuse floral foam with the green styrofoam they use for silk or dried flower arrangements!
