Whats the difference between Eagle pack premium and Eagle Pack Holistic?
Apr 22, 2010 by Koter Boters loves duke n koty | Posted in Dogs
I was just at the pet store getting dog food and I got Eagle pack Holistic but isn't that different then then premium kind?
The packaging I am used to is different for the holistic kind.
I hate when they change packages too! I went in circles in the store looking for the other package.
I almost went crazy!
What? I have been buying the Eagle Pack premium..didn't know they
had changed.. let me go look..
well, can't really find much.. chances are they are the same, packaged
differently.. I see this all the time in other products... I am sure it has
to do w/ sodium.. salt.. etc.. thanks for the info.. I want go crazy looking
for something that is not out there.. did you ask a sale's clerk..
have a g'day..

I'm not too familiar with this brand but in this case premium would mean-having or reflecting superior quality or value & holistic means natural/organic ingredients.
I also hate it when package designs change, it throws me off.

Hmmm, I can't find any reviews for a "premium," but here is a link to the info on the different Holistic products. I believe that the word premium applies to the quality, and not an ACTUAL product, but I could be wrong.
They are both premium dog foods although holistic select is now made by wellpet and no longer made by eagle pack. The regular eagle pack is similar to the holistic select but it contains ground corn and also several different protein sources where as holistic select contains no corn-only either rice or oatmeal (or both) and usually only one protein except in the new puppy formula. They both contain a wide variety of ingredients although holistic select is less narrow (besides protein source). Because holistic select was recently bought by wellpet it's packaging has changed. It used to come in very brightly colored bags but now it comes in a mostly whitish bag with a strip of color.
It is basically the same food but they have lowed the amount of added salt and changed the puppy formula.

How important is being an Eagle Scout for a college admission factor?
Feb 24, 2009 by Derek C | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
I am an Eagle Scout and an incredibly hard worker. Yet i have average grades and SAT scores. I have applied to Virginia Tech and am wondering how much of being awarded the Rank of Eagle helps me.
Thanks
When evaluating applicants most schools, other than alternative schools, will be primarily concerned with numbers and grades and won't take extracurricular activities and achievements (other than certain sports, arts or activities for which there are scholarships) so much into consideration.
In the event that your marks and stats essentially place you on an equal level with a number of other applicants, and the school is trying to decide which of you to accept, then having mentioned your Eagle rank might tip the balance in your favor.
In the workforce you'll begin to see much more of a positive effect for having your Eagle as many employers are very impressed to see that on an application. But in applying for schools it's all about numbers so the Eagle won't hold so much weight. But as I said it is worth mentioning as under some limited circumstances it may be a factor that helps convince a person looking over your school application that you're a good person to accept.
