Noodler’s inks are wonderful and this is no exception. I hesitated to buy it, thinking it would look like a washed-out black. How exciting could that be? So I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. This is grey, truly like battleship grey. It’s not a faded black, but a color in its own right. Using it is a pleasure. It flows freely and, though I’m usually opposed to inks with shading (in other words, when an ink stroke shows both light and dark areas in the stroke) but in this color, the shading looks great. It’s like a special effect built into the ink. I love it.
Grey may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if it appeals to you, this is a fine ink.

What is within walking distance of the University of Kentucky?

My son will start there in the fall and have no car. Will this be a problem shopping for pens, paper, laundry detergent, etc. ? It seems both Walmart and Target are not within walking distance.
Any Lexington experts out there :-) ?
My best friend attends UK and never has had trouble getting things that he needs. I'm sure there are convinience stores (which arent so convinient as far as price goes?!) and if not, I'm sure one of his new friends will give him a ride!

I am not a Lexington expert, but I have been there and do go to school at another university in Kentucky. And I dont think you will have to worry about your son being able to get the necessities there. UK is a large school with probably many students who do not have a car (I have heard parking there is TERRIBLE anyway). So groceries and school supplies should be really easy to get, there are restaurants and small stores all around UK. I'm sorry I can't be more specific since I am not that familiar with the school, but I really think he will be fine.
