How much storage space do I need to hold promo baseball caps?
Jun 29, 2008 by David T | Posted in Other - Business & Finance
I'm thinking about ordering some promotional baseball caps for my business.
Does anyone have any idea of how much space I would need to store say 500 to 1000 caps?
thanks
Hi,
You won't need much space to store caps, although "much" is as subjective thing!
Caps are generally stored with the "back" pushed in, sitting in a long row with the peaks up against each other. Hope this makes sense - like how you can stack stack-able chairs. They are big by themselves but they stack close together.
Exactly how they are packed will depend on the manufacturer, but as a guide around 100 caps can come in a long narrow box (almost tube like but square). This might be around 2 foot (60cm) long with a height and width of only around 7 inches (18cm). So as you can imagine 500 caps is will fit in a couple medium size outer boxes, of 1000 in around 4 medium size outer boxes. Not very scary.
Another way of looking at it as a rough guess 500 caps would be around 6 cubic feet (0.18 cubic meters), 1000 would be around 12 cubic feet (0.36 cubic meters).
Again please remember these are a rough guide (I don't have any cap boxes in front of me right now so working from memory) but should give you a least an idea. Realistically though if whoever you are purchasing these from can't give you this answer either on the spot or within an hour or so they probably aren't that experienced in selling caps!
Good Luck

how to get customer for my business of promotional products?s?
Jun 20, 2006 by LLucy | Posted in Search Engine Optimization
Our company, loctated in S. California, has a factory in China which manufactures caps, blanket, T-shirt etc. we can also do both embroidery and imprinting. our pricing is absolutely much lower than our most competitors. the cotton baseball cap, for example, is as low as $1.25/pc, which includes 7,000 stitches embroidey.
A few ideas:
1) Flyers & Business Cards - Who are your customers & where do they shop (e.g. grocery, home improvement stores, etc)? Post flyers where your customers frequent.
2) Advertise Locally -- Newspapers, Craigslist, Yahoo! Local
3) Word of Mouth -- Offer a great service & people will talk.
4) Mailers -- Send out coupons, specials, etc.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!
