How would you imprint your own pens/pencials?

I am a small business owner, and I am wanting to get some promotional pens/pencials, but I am on a tight buget where I cannot spend $100 on pen with my imprint. I have looked into many different promotional pen places, but they are all too expensive. I have some of my own pens that are completely blank and I like them. How would I go about imprinting my own logo on them? I have tried to use clear address labels, but when the label gets wet, the ink runs....Any suggestions?
get the clear mailing labels from staples and print them with your printer. Then affix the labels to the pens. Cost under $20.
Oops sorry. Use a laser printer. It won't run then. Some other friendly buisness might print them for you for a small charge on thier laser printer. I don't know why i assumed you had a laser printer. I guess I just didn't read the details to well.
Also if you go to the craft section of walmart, you can buy a spray adhesive made by elmer's. I know this sounds weird but it works. My sister uses it to fix pictures that she prints on her photo printer. It water proofs the pictures, and keeps the ink from runnig when they get wet. It will work on the labels as well.

The ambulance service I work for recently bestowed upon me the job of marketing. The guy who has been doing it left to go to another service, and is threatening to take all our business with him. We have a few people willing to stick with us, and a few who would never leave us, but he does pose a real threat. I do not have any real marketing experience. How would be the best way to convince health care facilities to use our ambulance service, versus the other private services in the city? We currently distribute promotional materials, such as ink pens, etc... What could we do better, with little or no additional cost? The telephone marketing thing is starting to irritate some people, so I would like to lay off that for now... Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Review the list of clients and do a fictitious survey to find out what the other guy promised the client, what they like and dislike about your service and what improvements they want. If you can do that, the next step is the budget, if there are some things to replace, repair, upgrade or to purchase. If you get to grant the clients' request, it'll make the other guy look incompetent. How? When he left, you improved. That'll be the impression. Hope it works. Good luck.

Walmart is pretty good about supporting local businesses. If you speak to the store manager he or she may be inclined to donate a computer related items from their electronics department. You could then put a raffle ticket in each goody bag that one lucky person would win. Good luck with your business!
